Profile: Nguyen Thi Thu Ha

Conservation Research Officer at CTNC

Nguyen Thi Thu Ha holds a Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science from VNU University of Science, Vietnam National University, Hanoi. Since her time as a student, she has been clearly focused on pursuing a career in nature conservation, with a special interest in endangered primate species and forest ecosystems in Vietnam.

Role at CTNC

She currently works at the Center for Nature Conservation and Technology (CTNC) as a Conservation Research Officer. Here, she is considered a fresh voice among the team of young conservationists who are dedicated, driven, and bringing innovation to species and ecosystem conservation programs in Vietnam.

Field Research Experience

During her studies, she actively participated in field research at the Son Tra Nature Reserve, contributing to two significant projects:

  • Surveying the population status of the Red-shanked Douc Langur (Pygathrix nemaeus) in Son Tra Nature Reserve, Da Nang City (2023).
  • Investigating the social characteristics of the Red-shanked Douc Langur (Pygathrix nemaeus) population in Son Tra Nature Reserve (Graduation Thesis, 2024).

This research not only provided her with hands-on experience in field conservation but also honed her skills in ecological surveys, behavioral analysis, and data processing.

Vision & Career Goals

In addition to her research activities, Thu Ha actively participates in scientific conferences and workshops to learn from experts and stay updated on new trends. With a life philosophy rooted in a connection to nature and a desire to make a lasting contribution to biodiversity preservation, Thu Ha aims to become an influential and insightful conservation researcher, helping to advance conservation science in Vietnam and foster stronger connections with the community.
