He is a passionate young scientist with a solid academic background and diverse practical experience in forestry and conservation. He is currently a final-year student in the Advanced Bachelor’s Program at the Vietnam National University of Forestry (VNUF), where he has demonstrated a profound passion for nature and wildlife conservation.
Role & Responsibilities at CTNC
In his role as a Field Survey Intern, Nguyen Huu Quang Vinh will apply his knowledge and skills to directly support the Center’s conservation projects. His main responsibilities include:
Research & Achievements
Vinh’s research accomplishments are highlighted by his First Prize in the university-level Student Scientific Research Competition for the 2024-2025 academic year. He has participated as a team member in key research projects, including:
- The project “Estimating mangrove forest carbon stocks from multi-source remote sensing data and field surveys in Nghe An province” (2025).
- The project “Using multi-temporal Sentinel-1 data to monitor surface water resource fluctuations in Chuong My district, Hanoi” (2022).
These experiences have equipped him with the skills to combine remote sensing technology and field surveys—a modern approach to resource and environmental management.
Field Experience & Specialized Training
Not limited to academic research, Vinh has also proactively honed his specialized field skills. He has successfully completed several training courses:
- Training course on “Field Research Skills for Tortoises and Freshwater Turtles” at Cuc Phuong National Park (4/2022).
- Training course on “Primate Conservation in Vietnam” in Da Nang and Kon Ka Kinh National Park (11/2024).
These training courses provided him with practical experience in conducting surveys and community interviews, while also strengthening his specialized knowledge of endangered wildlife species.
International Experience & Scientific Activities
With an international outlook, Vinh spent a year studying in Sweden as an exchange student in the Master’s program in European Forestry (Euroforester). Prior to that, he participated in the International Green Summer Camp in Germany and actively engaged in prestigious scientific events, such as volunteering for the 8th Asian Primate Symposium (2022).

With a solid knowledge base, specialized field skills, work experience at the Forest and Environment Ecology Institute, and a strong desire to learn, Nguyen Huu Quang Vinh is a high-potential candidate ready to contribute to the mission of conserving biodiversity and restoring ecosystems in Vietnam.
