On the evening of September 7, the awards ceremony for the Asia and Oceania region of the World Travel Awards 2022 took place in Ho Chi Minh City, in conjunction with the Ho Chi Minh City International Travel Expo 2022 (ITE HCMC).

During the ceremony, Vietnam received accolades as the Top Destination in Asia 2022 and the Top Nature Destination in Asia 2022. The Vietnam National Administration of Tourism was awarded the title of Top Tourism Management Agency in Asia for the year 2022. Hanoi triumphed in the category of Top City Destination in Asia 2022 for short-term tourism, while Cuc Phuong National Park was recognized as the ‘Top National Park in Asia’ for the fourth consecutive year.

In a notable first, Moc Chau (Son La) received the award for the Top Local Nature Destination in Asia 2022. Several Vietnamese tourism businesses made their inaugural appearance in the World Travel Awards system.
